Are you looking for a peaceful
and happy place? Well, let’s go to Cavinti, Laguna.
Last July 30 2018, I decided to go
to Japanese Garden with my friend, me and my friend enjoyed the view, this
place so peaceful, a silent and green.
The Japanese
Garden along Lake Caliraya in Cavinti, Laguna is a memorial park built in 1970s
by the Japanese government in order to commemorate the Japanese soldiers who
died during the Second World War. According to some locals and legends, it is
also the burial site of General Yamashita of Yamashita treasure fame. The
garden was built as a memorial and a symbol of friendship of the Japanese to
the Filipinos. An altar/shrine (made up of marble) located at an elevated portion
of the garden is usually visited by the Japanese to offer prayers and gifts to
the spirits of the dead soldiers.
The Japanese Garden may be a memorial park but it’s open to
the public with an entrance fee of P20 per person. The fee will be used for
cleaning and maintaining the garden. Come and visit! You will enjoy this place!
